Born in the autumn of 1930 (Shōwa 5) in Ni oi Village, Hidaka Province, Hokkaidō, within an Ainu settlement, at the home of Kawakami Kichitarō.

First encountered in August 1931 (Shōwa 6) during an Ainu dog research trip to Ni oi Village.
Purchased from Kawakami Kichitarō in October 1932 (Shōwa 7) for ten yen including shipping.
Awarded the Japan Dog Preservation Society Prize at the Second Exhibition held on November 3, 1933 (Shōwa 8).
Passed away peacefully at the family home in Yoyogi-Sanya in July 1938 (Shōwa 13), at nine years of age.
