The Basket Ritual
Zema firmly believed that entering this basket meant going to the mountains.
When shown the basket, he would jump in joyfully, leap inside, turn around several times to settle himself, and then remain completely still and quiet.
Every Sunday, they traveled by train for about two hours to the mountains, spent the entire day running freely through the fields and forests, and returned home with Zema once again comfortably nestled in the basket.
In this way, he became a habitual fare-free passenger.
